bridgeIn less than 24 hours, teams of Army engineers have re-built two bridges in Poonch and Jammu districts of flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir.

‘The Indian Army’s Engineers Unit swung into action and started the re-construction work on September 10 morning and made the bridge operational by afternoon,’ a senior Army officer said.

The Dorungli Bridge, a part of which was washed away on September 6 in flash flood, was made operational by September 10. This bridge is the only link between Poonch and Rajouri.
